Thaya Knight is Head of U.S. Markets Regulatory Policy at Barclays. She has spent her career working in markets regulation in Washington, starting in private practice representing financial institutions, and moving into policy during the 2008 financial crisis. She has spent time as a scholar at an influential D.C. think tank and served as counsel to two SEC Commissioners and the Director of FHFA. She also co-founded and served as General Counsel of a financial services start-up and led securities regulatory policy for a large crypto company. She holds a B.A. from Middlebury College and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
