Ervin Zhao
Head of Model Risk Management, Federal Home Loan Bank of New York
Ervin Zhao is currently the Director and Head of Model Risk Management at Federal Home Loan Bank New York (FHLBNY). He has been with FHLBNY since October 2018. Prior joining FHLBNY, he spent 20 years as a market risk manager and model validator at two international investment banks in NYC focusing on fixed-income assets. After he got his Ph.D., he also worked 5 years with several finance professors from UCLA and UC Berkeley to develop risk software and engage in portfolio insurance overlay strategy.
