Hakan Danis is the Head of Risk and Compliance at Pymt FI, where he is part of the founding leadership team of an early-stage fintech building a technology-driven SME lending platform. He leads the development of the firm’s risk management, compliance, and regulatory framework as the company scales its lending operations. Previously, he was Head of Macro Scenario Design at Citigroup, where he led the design of macroeconomic scenarios global legal entities. He also served as Director at MUFG, responsible for economic scenario design and operational risk stress-testing models, and earlier worked as a Senior Economist at BBVA forecasting the U.S. economy. He holds a PhD in Economics from UGA and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) with additional certifications in enterprise risk management and data science.
